Armin Schroecker, Founder

Armin’s 35+ years of experience in the hospitality business have taken him all over the world doing almost everything there is to do in hotels, principally with Hilton International. Coming from a food and beverage background–a passion that endures to date–he made his way professionally from breakfast waiter to general and regional management through stints in finance and operations.

His last posting with Hilton was as Regional Director for Hilton Canada, and through the course of his career, Armin has opened new properties in South Korea and South Africa, turned around flagship properties in Europe, North America and the Middle East, revitalised and upgraded food and beverage operations in Southeast Asia and managed an entire rebranding program for hotels in northern Europe. He brings hands-on experience in almost every operational field of hotel management, with a particular record of success in delivering results in challenging and unpredictable business environments. Armin is a versatile troubleshooter and problem-solver by professional repute.

Armin earned his hospitality credentials at the prestigious Schloss Klessheim Hotel School in his native Austria and has updated his skills since with specialty executive courses at Cornell University (US), IMD (Switzerland) and Hilton’s erstwhile CDI. He is a member of the International Food and Beverage Forum, served on the boards of the Greater Toronto Hotel Association and Hilton Canada, and continues to be a board member of the Canadian German Chamber of Commerce. Armin is currently engaged with Steigenberger Hotels in Germany as General Manager of their flagship hotel, the Frankfurter Hof which will be going through a massive renovation program.
